Dr. Bawumia mourns Kofi Nti; describes him as ‘true party man’
Former Vice President and 2028 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Maxwell Kofi Anti, otherwise known as Kofi Nti, the Personal Assistant (PA) to Hon Akwasi Acquah, MP for Akim Oda.
Speaking during a meeting with the Minority Caucus in Accra on Wednesday, Dr. Bawumia described the late Kofi Nti as a strong member of the NPP who played a significant role in the party's growth and development over the years. He noted that the deceased remained a true party man until his passing.
“I just arrived today from the US and just came to this meeting. But while I was away, I had very sad news. One of our strong supporters, who happens to also be the PA to Hon Alexander Akwasi Acquah, sadly passed away in a road accident. Maxwell Kofi Nti was true party man, and he died in the battle,” he stated while calling for a minute of silence for the departed.
Dr. Bawumia extended his condolences to Hon Acquah, the bereaved family, friends, and the Akim Oda branch of the NPP.
