President John Dramani Mahama has announced a reshuffle of his government, appointing Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga as a Minister of State.

Following the appointment, Builsa North MP James Agalga has been named the new Majority Leader of Parliament.

Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, MP for Klottey Korle, has been appointed Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, replacing the late Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.

The changes also see Gilbert Agyei appointed Minister for Defence, while Ahmed Ibrahim takes over as Minister for Works and Housing.

The Presidency says the appointments are aimed at strengthening government coordination and improving the delivery of its agenda.
