The ongoing marital breakdown between Nigerian actress Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has taken a darker twist following new allegations by controversial social media critic, VeryDarkMan, who claims the actress may be struggling with substance abuse.

In a viral video posted over the weekend, VeryDarkMan reacted to Regina Daniels’ emotional outburst earlier in the day, in which she tearfully defended her mother, Rita Daniels, and spoke about the pain she had endured in her marriage.

However, according to the influencer, the actress’ demeanor and speech in the video were “disorganized and incoherent,” suggesting she was under the influence of drugs.

“After watching the video Regina Daniels made this morning, I now believe Ned Nwoko when he said she is into drugs,” VeryDarkMan said. “She was so disorganized. She said a lot without saying anything. That’s typical behavior of a drug addict. She needs help — people close to her should take her to a rehabilitation centre.”

Nwoko’s Earlier Accusation And Regina’s Denial

The latest accusation follows Senator Nwoko’s earlier claim that his estranged wife had become dependent on drugs — a statement he made while reacting to her allegations of domestic abuse.

Regina Daniels had accused the politician of violence and emotional manipulation, which she said led to her depression and eventual separation from their marital home.

Nwoko, however, dismissed her claims and accused the 25-year-old actress of substance abuse, arguing that her erratic behavior and “wild accusations” were the result of drug influence.

At the time, Regina and her mother, Rita Daniels, vehemently denied the claims, with the actress insisting she was mentally sound and only “broken from years of emotional abuse.”

A Public Breakdown and Emotional Confession

In the video that sparked VeryDarkMan’s reaction, Regina Daniels appeared teary-eyed and emotionally overwhelmed as she begged Nigerians to stop attacking her mother over the collapse of her marriage.

She admitted that she had ignored family warnings when she married Ned Nwoko in 2019, believing she was in love.

“Please stop insulting my mom. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. She warned me, but I was stubborn,” Regina said. “I’m ashamed I fell in love, but I did. My family tried to protect me, but I didn’t listen.”

Observers noted that Regina’s speech seemed scattered and inconsistent, a point VeryDarkMan highlighted in his commentary, describing her as “confused and incoherent.” He added that the actress “shot herself in the leg” by making that video instead of addressing the specific allegations made by her estranged husband.
