The high-profile launch ceremony, held at the GhOne TV Studios in Accra, brought together top sports officials, media representatives, and stakeholders in the volleyball community.
The Chief Director at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Wilhelmina Asamoah, delivered a keynote address on behalf of the Minister, Kofi Iddie Adams, underscoring the government’s renewed commitment to sports-driven youth empowerment and regional integration.
The championship, scheduled for November 16th to 23rd, 2025, at the Borteyman Sports Complex, will feature 16 elite volleyball clubs drawn from Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Benin.
Organizers project attendance of over 1,000 participants and spectators, highlighting the growing regional appeal of the tournament.
According to officials, this year’s competition will not only showcase exceptional talent but also promote unity and collaboration among West African nations through sports diplomacy.
Since its inception in 2021, the Super Volleyball Championship has evolved from a modest grassroots event into one of the most prominent sports tournaments.
Initially conceived to provide local athletes with competitive exposure, it has now become a nationally recognized platform backed by the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.
The 2025 edition marks the fourth consecutive staging of the event, organized by Kratos SE in partnership with the Ghana Volleyball Federation (GVF).
