Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has paid a courtesy call on the Asantehemaa, Nana Yaa Akyaa II, at the Manhyia Palace to formally congratulate her on her enstoolment.

The visit, which took place on Monday, October 5, 2026, saw the former President lead a delegation to the Manhyia Palace to extend his congratulations and best wishes to the newly enstooled Asantehemaa.

Nana Akufo-Addo was accompanied by his former Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, former Deputy Chief of Staff Fawaz Aliu, digital creator Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe, Special Assistant Sheela Sakyi Oppong, as well as other officials from his office.

The delegation also included former and serving constituency and national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The courtesy call provided an opportunity for the former President and members of his delegation to formally recognise the new traditional leadership at the Manhyia Palace and congratulate Nana Yaa Akyaa II on her enstoolment.
